HEART to heart: A Discipleship & Mentoring Plan

Do you believe in Yahweh, the God of The Holy Bible? Do you believe God is three-in-one: God the Heavenly Father, The Holy Spirit, and the Word of God, Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son? Do you know that God loves you so much that He sent Jesus to come to earth, to dwell among us, and to die on the cross of Calvary to pay the penalty for our sins?

God loves us so much He gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we would be given the opportunity to be forgiven, and receive deliverance from the power of sin. God also gives us eternal life, adoption as God’s children, an eternal inheritance, and a heavenly home where there will be no more evil, sickness, or tears. Though we do not deserve any of this, God has offered it all to us freely. All we have to do is reach out to Him and receive it.

Have you ever experienced God’s grace or mercy? How about the peace beyond understanding that comes when you have acknowledged your sin and asked God to forgive you? Have you ever experienced a divine physical healing or healing and restoration of your broken heart and life? Have you had a divine encounter with God that you would like to share with others? Have you been born again by God’s Holy Spirit?

Are you a Bible teacher? Or are you a layperson that would love to share God’s word with others? Do you like to encourage others with scripture or to spread the good news of the Gospel to those who don’t know Jesus? You don’t have to be a pastor or teacher to spread the good news about Jesus Christ. Just look at what God did with 12 ordinary men who were willing to step out and tell others about Jesus.

Those 12 ordinary men were the 12 disciples of Jesus Christ. They followed Jesus and learned His word, then they turned the world upside down and God used them to build what is now called the Christian church. They spread the word about Jesus all across the world, and that message has continued on since that time.

God’s Holy Spirit will continue working and empowering ordinary Christian people to spread the good news about Jesus until Jesus comes back again for His church. In the meantime, God’s people need to continue spreading the message of God’s free gift of salvation to all men.

If you’re a born again Christian, God can work through you to begin helping others by sharing God’s word with them, praying for them, and sharing testimonies of what God has done for you. You can share with one person, a small group, or even in a large crowd. The Holy Spirit who dwells within you will empower you to do God’s work.
