Jesus Cares For You!

God Provides:

Are you burdened with the cares of life? Do you wonder if anyone cares about you or your problems?

The Bible tells about a widow who was burdened with the cares of life. She was gathering sticks near a gate in Zarephath so she could build a fire and cook one last meal for her son and herself. While she was gathering the sticks, a man named Elijah called to her saying, “Please bring me a little water in a cup–that I may drink.” As she went to get the water Elijah also said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”

“I do not have bread,” the widow answered, “only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar. I am gathering sticks that I may prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”

“Elijah said, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake first and bring it to me; (…). For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry until the Lord sends rain on the earth.'”

The widow did as Elijah, God’s prophet, requested, and they all at for many days. The flour was not used up, nor did the oil run dry. God made a way for the widow and her son, and He has made a way for you too!

The Lost Son:
(from Luke 15:11-24)

Do you long to satisfy the desires of your heart?

The Bible tells us about a young man who wanted to leave home and make his own way in the world. This young man went to his father and said, “Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.” So the father divided his estate and gave this son his portion. Afterwards the son gathered his belongings, and journeyed to a land far away. There he wasted his possessions with wild living.

Later a severe famine came upon that land. The son became so hungry and needy that he hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent this son out to feed his pigs. The son longed to fill his stomach with the pods the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

Coming to his senses, the son realized even his father’s servants had more than enough bread to eat. But he perished with hunger! So the son arose and went home to his father.

While he was still far off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. The father ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

Then the son said, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.”

But the father said to his servants, “Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fatted calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate! For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.”

Like this father, our heavenly Father wants us to return home, confess our errors, and be restored to His family. He wants us close so He can care for us. Won’t you come home?

There is someone who cares. His name is Jesus. He wants to help you carry your burden. Jesus is standing at the door of your heart knocking, just waiting for you to open it and invite Him in! So won’t you ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins? Won’t you invite Him into your heart and life?

Give your cares to Jesus, for He cares for you!

Jesus Heals:

Are you carrying a load of stress? Do you need healed of sickness or infirmities? Do you feel like no one cares about you or your infirmities? In the Bible (John 5:2-15) we see a man who must have felt this same way.

“Now there is in Jerusalem … a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. On these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed…waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down, at a certain time, into the pool and stirred up the water. Then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring…, was made well of whatever diseases he had.

Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity for 38 years. When Jesus saw him, and knew that he had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, ‘Do you want to be made well?’

The sick man answered, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I’m coming, another steps down before me.”

Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed and walked.

How hopeless this man must have felt, waiting by that pool for 38 years, only to see another person step into the water before him! Yet all this time Jesus knew his condition, loved him, and wanted him to be healed.

Like this man at the pool, Jesus knows your condition. He loves you very much and He has come to heal us from our infirmities and sickness.

Jesus stands at the door of your heart, waiting for you to call out and invite Him in. So call out today and ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins,

and to come and live in your heart. Then call out to Him and cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you! He has the power to heal you!

Jesus Resurrects A Sick Girl:

Are you carrying a load of stress? Is sickness and death weighing you down? Do you feel like no one cares?

The Bible tells about a man named Jairus who was burdened with cares. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house, for his only daughter, about 12 years of age, was dying.
While Jesus was speaking, someone from Jairus’ house came and told Jairus, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.”

When Jesus heard this He said, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”
When Jesus entered Jairus’ house and saw others mourning, He put them outside, took the girl by the hand, and called, “Little girl, arise.” Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately.

There is someone who cares, and there is hope! Jesus cares and He is our hope. Again Jesus says to you, “Do not be afraid; only believe (…).” Ask Jesus to forgive your for your sins, and invite Him into your heart and life.

Behold! Jesus stands at the door and knocks. He’s waiting for you to open it so He can come in. He wants to meet with you and hear your concerns. Cast your cares upon Jesus because He cares for you!

Jesus Knows Where You Are!
(from Luke 19:1-9)

Have you ever felt like you were lost or so far away from God that He wouldn’t accept you? Have you searched with your whole heart but failed to see Him because something was blocking your view?

The Bible tells us about a man in this situation, saying, “Now behold there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. He sought to see who Jesus was, but could not see Him because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So Zacchaeus ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him (…).”

When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw Zacchaeus and said, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”

Zacchaeus hurried down from the tree and received Him joyfully. When the crowd saw this, they all complained saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.”

Zacchaeus said, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”

Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, (…) for the Son of man has come to seek and save that which was lost.”

Jesus knows where you are, and He will accept you. Today salvation can come to your house! Just call out to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you of your sin, and come and live in your heart. Sin may be blocking your ability to see Jesus. Come and meet with Him and get it cleansed from your heart and life. Today will be your day of salvation and you will be in Jesus’ kingdom. He loves you and wants you to come to Him!
